Sleep Apnea Treatment and Results

If your sleep is no longer restful and you’re experiencing intermittent airflow blockage while you sleep, you may have obstructive sleep apnea. This disorder is marked by the cessation or significant decrease in airflow while breathing due to recurrent episodes of the collapse of the upper airway during sleep. Turn to Gary Liberati Dentistry to schedule a sleep study and learn how to deal with this condition.

Our practice has helped patients achieve great success in their struggles with sleep apnea. One patient reported that they could not sleep for more than 2 hours at a time, and being up all night was a huge drain on their energy. After using our non-CPAP sleep apnea device, this patient now enjoys a full night of uninterrupted sleep every night!

Treating Sleep Apnea

Sleep Study

If you’ve already undergone a sleep study, we’ll proceed to an evaluation. If you haven’t had a sleep study, we can accommodate an at-home sleep study where you will your bed and pillow to ensure your comfort.

20-Minute Evaluation

In addition to a standard oral evaluation, we also perform a snoring analysis to understand why you snore. We do this by making you snore. The resulting analysis determines if and how a sleep apnea device could help you.

Apparatus

We can craft a custom-fit device by making an impression of your teeth. Next, we send it to the lab where it will be made especially for you. We’ll ensure a proper fit in our office once the lab has made the device.

Monitoring

After you’ve worn the device for a while, you’ll return to our office for a checkup. The purpose of this 30-minute visit is to ensure the device is working properly for you and that your sleep is improving.
